Sustainability

Sustainability is an ongoing priority at Vivad. We continuously look for ways to lower emissions and reduce waste throughout every step of our printing and production process.
As one of Australia’s largest providers in this space, we understand the responsibility that comes with scale and the importance of setting higher environmental standards within the industry.

Vivad recognise the growing responsibility to deliver environmentally conscious printing solutions. Our approach to sustainability spans from our material choices, the adoption of non-solvent ink technology, improvements to production efficiency and a dedicated return-to-recycle program where eligible prints can be sent back to us for responsible recycling, preventing unnecessary landfill.

Through collaboration with like-minded partners and ongoing improvements to our operations, Vivad is dedicated to lowering emissions, driving sustainable innovation, and creating a greener future for our clients, community, and the next generation of print professionals.

Fabric Recycling program : Giving Fabric Graphics a Second Life

Large-format fabric graphics are widely used across retail, events and exhibitions, but what happens once they're no longer needed? At Vivad, we've introduced a fabric recycling program that allows customers to return eligible used fabric graphics for responsible recycling. Rather than sending materials to landfill, customers can choose a more sustainable option that supports circular resource recovery and helps reduce textile waste.

Through our recycling partnership, eligible fabrics can be processed and transformed into new raw materials, giving them a second life beyond their original application. As demand grows for more environmentally conscious signage solutions, initiatives such as fabric recycling help businesses reduce waste while maintaining high-impact visual communications.

Metal Recycling

Vivad manufactures a range of products including lightboxes, Vivaframes and Palisades, using materials such as aluminium extrusions, honeycomb panels and steel components.

During the manufacturing process, off-cuts, swarf and surplus metal materials are generated. Rather than sending these materials to landfill, all aluminium and steel off-cuts are collected and recycled through a specialist metal recycling partner. These materials are processed and returned to the manufacturing supply chain as valuable raw materials.

By recovering and recycling metal waste generated through our production processes, Vivad continues to reduce landfill, conserve resources and improve the sustainability of our operations.

Rigid Materials & Cardboard Recycling

Vivad works with supplier partners to recycle rigid signage materials including Corflute®, Imageboard and Armaboard. Manufacturing off-cuts are collected and reprocessed into new products, supporting a circular economy and reducing waste sent to landfill.

As part of our sustainability initiatives, Vivad's Return to Recycle service provides customers with a practical way to responsibly recycle eligible Corflute®, Imageboard and Armaboard signage.

In addition, cardboard cores, packaging boxes and office paper are recycled through our long-standing recycling partner. These materials are processed and transformed into new recycled paper and cardboard products in Australia, helping to keep valuable resources in circulation and reduce waste sent to landfill.

Solar Panel: Sustainable Energy, Measurable Results

Reducing environmental impact starts with examining our own operations.

That's why Vivad has invested in solar energy to help power our production facilities. By generating renewable electricity onsite, we're reducing reliance on traditional energy sources while taking practical steps to lower emissions, improve energy efficiency and support more sustainable manufacturing.

Sustainability isn't achieved through a single initiative, it's built through continuous improvements that deliver measurable environmental and operational benefits over time.
